The suffering of the Oromo people is one of Africa’s most under-reported problems. The largest ethnic group (40 million) in Ethiopia, hundreds of thousands of Oromo have been made refugees by famine and political persecution. Our aim is to provide humanitarian relief and support for them.
There are lots of ways you can become involved with Oromo Relief Association Australia.
When you become an Oromo Relief Association Australia member, you’re joining one of the emerging humanitarian organisations in the world.
Take action and make a real difference in your life and the lives of others.
The Oromo Relief Association aims to provide support for Oromo and other nationalities in the Horn who have been affected by armed conflicts and other human-induced and natural disasters, by mobilising humanitarian aid and providing relief and resettlement assistance leading to self-reliance. Volunteers with experience in humanitarian duties are sought. By volunteering with Oromo Relief Association Australia you can help to improve the lives of the most vulnerable people.
